FSF Chairman Brian Robinson provided a summary of the organisations activities during 2017 at the FSF Forum meeting on 9 February.
He stated that the FSF had a successful year. With membership continuing to grow and the organisation now having a strong profile, particularly with Government and the All Party Parliamentary Fire Safety & Rescue Group.
He noted there had been a variety of Workstream meetings, as well as the regular FSF Forum meetings, culminating in a highly successful Fire Summit in October.
In addition to these, the Chairman had undertaken an extensive number of meetings and networking opportunities, to further raise the profile of the Federation and feed into policy decisions.
Several of these meetings have been with Ministers, MPs and other Government officials, ensuring that the FSF is now regularly consulted on issues that affect the fire sector as a whole.
