Government repeals English Local Act fire safety provisions

On 9 January 2013, the Department for Communities and Local Government repealed all fire safety provisions within Local Acts in England which were more onerous than those required under the Building Regulations.
The affected provisions relate to warehouses (over 7000m3), car parks and tall buildings (over 30m). The provisions relating to fire and rescue service access are being retained.
